July 02, 2020 – Assistant Professor Dr.Napisa Waitoolkiat, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, along with the faculty’s administrators and personnel, welcomed representatives from Advanced Wireless Network Company Limited (AIS) who came to discuss an academic collaboration with Naresuan University’s Faculty of Social Sciences.
The AIS representatives also met Assistant Professor Dr. Piratorn Punyaratabandhu, Vice President of Naresuan University. They discussed the opening of AIS Playground, a technology center for digital creators offering complete ecological systems and collaborative space by providing equipment, personnel, experts, and high-speed internet networks and technologies such as 5G, NB – IoT, VR, and API, allowing innovators to use them in real-time. This project aims to promote innovation, create solutions, and produce new services beneficial for consumers in the digital age. The four (4) key areas for this program’s development are:
- Space for Work, a space for creativity, information, and meetings.
- Space for Consulting, a space for those who want to get experts’ advice on Technology, Design, or Business. Experts will be provided.
- Space for Creators’ Testing, a space for implementing innovations through NB – IoT network. APIs can also be tested using the AIS Digital Platform.
- Space for Innovators, a space for testing new technologies on the 5G network.
In addition, Assistant Professor Dr. Piratorn Punyaratabandhu, Vice President of Naresuan University, praised this project and toured the representatives to various innovation areas of the university to guide them for further possibilities of cooperation
